Sacred Heart Church
Our small parish was established in 1872 and serves many rural families in the small farming community of Oconee, Illinois. The church still stands at the corner of Walnut and North 2nd, and the festival happens on the grass beside it.
The parish has two major fundraisers each year, and both are vital to this faith community.

The people who put it on
Both fundraisers are run start to finish by parish families. The same people cooking the pork ribeyes set the straw bales out the week before and haul them off again after.
The Family Fall Festival runs three Sundays each fall. The Trap Shoot follows on the first Sunday of November — this year, November 1. Times, prizes and directions →

Visitors are welcome at any of it. No need to tell anyone you are coming.
